Eric Braeden Shares Cancer Diagnosis
Eric Braeden, 82, famous for his role as Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless, recently shared some difficult news. While recovering from knee-replacement surgery, he was diagnosed with cancer.

In a candid 13-minute Facebook Live session, Braeden revealed his health struggles. During his recovery, he experienced prostate issues, which eventually led to the cancer diagnosis. By sharing his story, Braeden hopes to raise awareness and help other men facing similar challenges.
Cancer Treatment and Recovery
Thankfully, doctors were able to remove the cancer using a UroLift procedure, often used for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Braeden is now undergoing a six-week immunotherapy treatment to aid his recovery.
Braeden’s Optimism and Determination
During the live session, Braeden expressed both optimism and determination. Though he feels under the weather, he’s listening to his body and slowing down. Confident in his fight, he said, “I will lick this. This bastard ain’t going to get me; I’m going to get it.”

Braeden remains grateful for his role on The Young and the Restless, which has brought him joy for over 40 years. Acting distracts him from his health concerns, and he takes pride in entertaining his fans. He encouraged others to support loved ones facing similar battles and highlighted the progress made in cancer treatment.
