To silence critics, the mother of atypical Down syndrome twins displays how beautiful and precious they are.

Twins are rare, occurring at around 33 per 1,000 births, though their prevalence has increased by 72% since 1980. Even among twins, identical pairings are uncommon: just three or four sets of identical siblings are estimated to be born in every thousand births.

Savannah Combs was ecstatic when she discovered she was expecting twins, even if the news had a twist: both kids had Down Syndrome. Savannah’s passion for her new family remained unaffected by the increased task.

avannah and Justin Ackerman were devastated when they learned their children, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, would not live long. Savannah was incredibly proud of her children, despite the censure they knew they would face from some people.

.

She called them “her tiny diamonds” when speaking with News4JAX. Her postpartum journey with her twins became popular on TikTok after she shared videos of it, but what made it more significant was that physicians had advised her to abort the pregnancy before their conception due to their diagnoses.

Savannah was pleased to learn that her expecting twins were born with Down syndrome. Each subsequent prenatal appointment allowed her to bond with the babies and relish every moment before their birth.

Savannah spent much of her pregnancy alone because her spouse was at boot camp then. She went to the hospital at 29 weeks pregnant and gave birth to two beautiful twin daughters.

Despite their diagnosis’s first shock, she chose to love them and give them every chance they deserved. The experience taught her many significant life and love lessons that she carried with her long after the birth of her daughters.

Because the twins were born two months early, they had to spend several weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) before being allowed to go home.

They are called “mono di twins” because they have separate amniotic sacs but share the same placenta. As a result, they are identical. What makes it even more unlikely is that they both have Down Syndrome, which is extremely rare, occurring in one out of every two million births, according to statistics.

Savannah is determined to demonstrate that, despite their unusual condition, these children are no different from any other youngster. She is convinced that they will be successful in the end since they have potent emotions, beating hearts, and the ability to communicate.

Savannah posts update on TikTok, where fans can see each milestone being attained to track the progress of all her young students. She wants to remind children that, like everyone else, everything is possible if they put their minds to it.

Savannah, a young mother, has had to confront some unkind people on social media about her twin disabled daughters.

One person was so heartless as to say that if their infants had been born, they would have given them up for adoption. Savannah answered gracefully and wisely, emphasizing that these infants were sent to the appropriate parents – herself and her spouse – who would accept and cherish them regardless. Her post serves as a reminder that compassion and love are more important than anything else.

Let us share this wonderful tale in honor of Savannah and her lovely daughters on Facebook!
