Mom of four has vanity plate for 15 years – DMV rules inappropriate and demands she surrender it

When the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in New Hampshire ordered that a mother of four give up the vanity plates she had owned for fifteen years, the mother was taken aback.

Her sons are gently reminded by the plates to use the restroom before getting into the car.

However, disregarding Wendy Auger’s innocuous remark, the DMV concluded that the plates discussed “sexual or excretory acts or functions.”

Find out what transpired with this mother and her vanity plates by reading on!

The DMV of New Hampshire ordered Rochester, New Hampshire resident Wendy Auger to surrender the vanity license plate she had been using for 15 years in 2019.

“It would simply be awful if I were to lose it,” the mother of four, who is often complimented on her amusing dishes, stated.

Auger continues, “If I have to take it off the plate, then I’m not going to be able to live free,” alluding to the state motto of “live free or die.”

Her license plates say “PB4WEGO,” which serves as a reminder to her kids to “pee before we go” before they get in the car.

The paralegal asks, “Who has a parent or guardian who hasn’t told that to kids before leaving the house?” “Come on, I’m not the kind to sit here with a picket.”

The combination of characters on her license plate alludes to “sexual or excretory acts or functions,” according to the DMV letter requesting the plates be turned in.

She tells CNN, “I’m not a political activist.” “However, this is a non-offensive possession of mine that is an integral part of my identity and our family, so there was no justification for them to take it away.”

Auger was given the choice to submit a different personalized plate at no additional expense, and she was given ten days to do so.

The woman posted pictures of her plates on Facebook along with the recall notice she received.

The article gained widespread attention.

On Auger’s social media profile, a netizen remarks, saying, “What a ludicrous circumstance… Not only is it adorable and humorous, but it serves as a great reminder. Then another writes, “What’s going on?!?” That plate has been yours for ages.

A third suggests a fix, saying, “Would that be Pee or Pay? hehe.”

Auger says, “Live free or die my arse,” in response to the people who urged her to petition for the recall. She then jokes, “I think dmv sux will be my next one…but I may get pulled over quite often lol.”

Her tweet eventually gained the attention of New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu on social media, leading him to overturn the decision. He wrote to her, stating, “Hey Wendy, this is Chris Sununu. What’s up with you? Hello, just wanted to let you know that issue has been resolved.I apologize for the small delay and pushback caused by the bureaucracy up there.however, it’s clear that common sense won out.

Auger announced her triumph in a fresh Facebook statement on August 28, 2019.

Auger writes, “This Sassy Momma Has Her Plates!!!”
