The 70-year-old Kelsey Grammer is getting ready to become a father once more. On Tuesday, he was seen out in London with his very pregnant wife.
The “Frasier” star, who is already a father to seven children, was spotted strolling alongside his 46-year-old wife, Kayte Walsh, who was wearing a flowing black dress to flaunt her growing baby bulge.
The couple, who already have three children together, has not made their fourth child’s impending arrival public.
Nevertheless, as he prepares for fatherhood for the eighth kid, the “Cheers” alumnus seems upbeat.
Grammer, Walsh, and their three children were spotted walking around London’s Hyde Park before doing some grocery shopping at Whole Foods in pictures that the Daily Mail was able to secure.
From Hartlepool, England, Grammer and Walsh are already proud parents to their 12-year-old daughter Faith and their 10- and 8-year-old boys James and Gabriel.
The four-time actor also has a daughter, Spencer, 41, with his first wife, Doreen Alderman; a daughter, Greer, 33, with his ex-wife, Barrie Buckner; a daughter, Mason, 23; and a son, Jude, 20 with his ex-wife, Camille Grammer, a former cast member of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Grammer talked candidly about having seven children last month, stating that he had been “playing catch up” with his elder children ever since he and Walsh welcomed their first three.
“I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two,” he told People. “I’m trying to make up for a little of it now. I’m still their dad, so you can always have [a] chance to show up.”
Nevertheless, when his children have children of their own, the actor is determined to ensure that they learn from his mistakes.
“I probably should have been a little more clear and maybe less tolerant with the older ones,” he went on.
“I’m pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I’m clear about how there’s certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you’re going to be well-served in your life.”
“I’m a little more specific with them about doing their studies and being prepared. [I tell them], ‘What’s your job in life? Showing up,’” added Grammer, who was 61 when Walsh gave birth to their third child.
In 2009, while travelling to London, the actor met Walsh, a former flight attendant.
He had been legally married to Camille at the time. Season 1 of the popular Bravo reality TV series featured extensive documentation of the couple’s marital breakdown.
“We actually met in the air on a plane to England,” Grammer told Jimmy Kimmel in 2012. “It was very romantic, she was working on the plane.”
“We went out for coffee several days later and had this magical night in the snow in London around Christmas time. It was two years ago.”
In December 2010, the couple declared their engagement, and two months later, they were married at the Plaza Hotel.
Days before their lavish wedding, he and Camille finalised their divorce.
