“It was for me,” Brittany explained.
She also addressed a question she’s frequently asked: no, this wasn’t about different partners or shock value. The challenge was literal and exclusive, sex every single day, for a full year, with her husband.
Letting go of insecurities
One of the biggest changes Brittany noticed came in how she viewed her own body. Instead of obsessing over perceived flaws or worrying about how she looked during intimacy, her focus began to shift.
Six months in, she experienced a breakthrough moment. She stopped wearing the cami she had long used to hide her body.
“For the first time, I was more concerned with every part of sex that felt good than finding a flattering angle to hide my stomach or back fat,” she shared.
What surprised her most was how freeing that realization felt.
“My body was being enjoyed by the both of us, equally,” she said.
Confidence beyond the bedroom
As the year continued, Brittany’s confidence only grew. By the end of the challenge, she joked, “A year in, I stopped wearing clothes entirely.”
While she admitted her kids might not have agreed with that approach, the deeper point was clear — she no longer felt the urge to hide her body.
Even everyday moments began to look different.
“I stopped that primal run from the shower and now lazily walked to the closet naked,” she said, describing how her comfort level had completely shifted.
The physical changes weren’t the only ones that mattered. The challenge also transformed Brittany’s emotional closeness with her husband.
“I made school lunches in my underwear, and didn’t reflexively pull away when Andy came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist,” she shared.
That openness, she said, translated into a deeper sense of affection, comfort, and connection—something that had quietly faded before the experiment began.
By the end of the year, Brittany realized the impact went far beyond sex.
“My relationship with my husband, and my body, had changed in amazing ways,” she reflected.
What began as a bold personal challenge became a powerful reminder that confidence, intimacy, and self-acceptance can evolve—even deep into long-term love.
