Bessie Walsh, a 76-year-old widow, had been grieving the loss of her husband, Edward, for three years. One evening, while going through old family albums, she discovered a stack of letters from her ex-lover, Troy Evans, whom she had broken up with 53 years ago after misinterpreting a situation where she thought he had cheated.
