Nicole Graham and her daughter were enjoying a horseback ride on a beach in Geelong, Australia, when they suddenly found themselves in a dangerous situation.

The rising tide trapped Nicole’s horse, Astro, in thick mud, which put him in serious danger of suffocating and drowning. After several hours of trying to help, rescue workers and a veterinarian showed up.

Even though the rescue was tough, they did everything they could, including giving Astro a sedative and using a helicopter, but the mud was too soft to make it work.

In the end, a local farmer with a tractor came to the rescue, and together, they managed to pull Astro out just in time. This story shows how strong the bond between humans and horses can be and reminds us to be careful near the ocean.
