Jill Jacobson, Beloved Actress, Passes Away

Jill Jacobson, renowned for her roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Falcon Crest, has sadly passed away. The Texas-born actress, best known for portraying Erin Jones on Falcon Crest, died after battling a long-term illness.

Jacobson made a lasting impact on viewers, particularly with her roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She appeared in over 20 episodes of Falcon Crest, leaving an unforgettable mark in the TV industry.

A Creative Journey

Born in Beaumont and Dallas, Texas, Jill moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. She landed her first major role as Nurse Sherri in 1977. Beyond acting, she also worked behind the scenes, producing projects like The Circle and Mic Whore.

Her Passing on December 8

Jill’s passing was confirmed by her longtime friend, Dan Harary. She died on December 8 at Cedars-Sinai’s Culver West Health Center after a prolonged illness. Dan shared that she would be deeply missed by her family, friends, and her beloved dogs, Benny and Kowalski.

Battling Cancer

In September 2024, Jill revealed she had been battling esophageal cancer for over two and a half years. Despite the challenges, she turned her health struggles into advocacy, becoming a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society. Her efforts earned her numerous awards for her dedication.

A Tribute to Her Spirit

Jill’s manager, Ben Padua, expressed sorrow over her loss, remembering her as a “beautiful, soulful, hysterically funny” woman with a unique talent for comedy. Her spirit will live on, especially with her upcoming role in Merrily, a TV show set to release in 2025.

A Final Goodbye

Jill Jacobson’s legacy as an actress and advocate will continue to inspire fans and all who knew her. She was 70 years old.
