Why Brooke Hogan was removed from dad Hulk Hogan’s will

Following the death of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan on July 24 at age 71, questions quickly emerged about the distribution of his estate and the absence of his daughter, Brooke Hogan, from his will.

It was later confirmed that Hogan died of a heart attack, just weeks after reportedly undergoing heart surgery. He is survived by his two children (Brooke, 37, and Nick, 35) whom he shared with ex-wife Linda Hogan, as well as his third wife, Sky Daily, whom he married in 2023.

At the time of his death, Hogan’s net worth was estimated to be around $25 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But none of that will go to Brooke – by her own request.

Speaking on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Brooke revealed she had asked to be removed from her father’s will before his passing, saying she didn’t want to get pulled into potential family disputes over money.

“I was sobbing,” she recalled. “I just said, ‘Take me off everything. I don’t want to be a part of it.’”

Brooke explained that her perspective shifted dramatically when she became pregnant with her twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, who she welcomed earlier this year with her husband, former NHL player Steve Oleksy.

Oleksy, 39, publicly backed her decision, telling Us Weekly that Brooke had acted out of integrity, even amid personal pain.

“I believe my wife upheld her dad’s best interests even after his death, mustering up all the courage and kindness she could despite still being very hurt,” he said.

He also criticized how some of Hogan’s wealth was accumulated, adding, “That money does not represent accomplishments in the ring — the majority of it came at the expense of my wife’s dignity. It was built on hurtful comments about her and her past relationship, which caused pain not only to her, but to many other families.”

Brooke’s radio appearance comes in the wake of questions about why she didn’t attend WWE’s on-air tributes to Hogan, which included a 10-bell salute on Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw.

Addressing the speculation, Brooke clarified via Instagram: “For those of you giving me crap for not attending my dad’s tributes, @wwe did not extend an invite.”
