‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans Bombard Vanna White After She Drops Bombshell About the Show

There’s no doubt that fans of the popular game show “Wheel of Fortune” love Vanna White. She is truly an icon and the show wouldn’t be the same without her.

You may be wondering when White will decide to retire, and after learning what we just learned about the show, we don’t know that she’ll ever retire. If you thought pointing to letters for a living was a sweet job, you’re about to be blown away by just how sweet this job really is.

White recently went on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, and in a clip that the show posted to their Instagram page, White reveals some startling information about Wheel of Fortune’s filming schedule.

The show airs a new episode almost every single day, so you might think that the work schedule is pretty grueling, but that’s not really the case. White shared that the show only films 34 days a year! That’s it. They film all those episodes in just 34 days.

Let’s do a little math to break down how sweet this deal really is. She has 344 days off a year including weekends, but let’s account for weekends, since most people have 2 days off a week anyway. Since there are 52 weeks in a year, that would be 104 weekend days in a year. Subtract 104 from 344 and we get 240.

Yes, she hast 240 weekdays off each year. That’s about 34 weeks of vacation time each year! Can you imagine working 34 days a year in exchange for 34 weeks of vacation time!

While this is definitely a sweet deal, White did make it clear that when they are at work the days are very busy work days. They film 6 shows each day. On top of that, White wears a different dress for every single show, so she has to change and be camera ready 6 times a day, but again, that’s only for 34 days a year.

When fans heard about this, they took to the comments on Instagram to share their feelings. One fan wrote, “This is why she looks 40.. She’s barely worked a day in her life, she’s cracked the code… the fountain of youth.”

Another comment reads, “34 days of work in a year and your net worth is over 80 million!!! Youuuu WIN!!”

This fan added, “Boy she fell on same pay dirt with that job, huh? I wonder why Pat left then? Good for her. God bless her.. I wish I could find myself a gig like that!”

Seriously, it would be hard to walk away from a gig like that, but some fans think it’s time for her to let someone else take over and enjoy a job that’s this awesome.

One fan wrote, “Hand off the Reigns to a Younger Woman…She made her $$$, now let someone else step in.”

What would you do with all of your free time if you only worked 34 days a year? Do you think Vanna White should retire soon and let someone else enjoy this cushy job?
