I’m standing in the middle of a dream I once scribbled into a college sketchbook, now stitched into fabric, filmed under hot lights, and brought to life by women I deeply admire. I didn’t choose Monique and Alyssa because they’re “average.” I chose them because they show up, work hard, and live in their bodies with power and intention. They are real precisely because they are not pretending to be anything else.
Calling only one body type “real” is just another cage. The truth is, the average has shifted because our lifestyles have, and that’s a warning sign, not a standard to worship. I don’t want to glorify sickness, nor shame size. I want to celebrate women who move, who care, who fight for their health in a world selling them shortcuts. Real women are not defined by a number, but by their courage to become the strongest version of themselves—and to let that strength inspire others to rise too.
