(VIDEO)She Made History With THIS Song At The Ole Opry 64 Years Ago… Now Pay Close Attention To Her Lyrics

Lots of amazing female country artists have stolen our heart over the course of time. Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline are often the most popular amongst them. But many people often argue that the title of the true country queen belongs to Kitty Wells. I had never heard of this amazing lady until this video. But now that I have, I can’t stop listening.

Younger generation probably doesn’t know about her, but Kitty Wells did in fact make some significant impacts on the world of country music. She was the first solo female musician to ever step foot on Grand Ole Opry stage in 1952. The video below features Kitty Wells singing her big 1952 #1 hit, “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels”, at the Grand Ole Opry. This song was originally banned from being played on the NBC series, but because of its popularity, Wells was invited to perform it live.
