Long before the designer gowns and state dinners, Melanija Knavs was a tall, reserved teenager walking Sevnica’s worn streets, dreaming of something beyond its smokestacks. When a photographer noticed her at 16, it wasn’t a fairy-tale instant transformation, but the first small fracture in an ordinary life. One test shoot became a portfolio; one portfolio became tickets to Milan, Paris, then New York.
