You really need to be cautious about what you say these days because you never know when it is going to come back to haunt you. The former president of New York University’s College Republicans chapter has discovered this for herself.

Kaya Walker, who is now the former president of the Republican chapter of that university has been forced to resign. This happened after she made some comments about the president’s son, Baron Trump.

Some significant backlash occurred among her Republican peers after she spoke to Vanity Fair about Baron, the 18-year-old son of US Pres., Donald Trump. She said that he was ‘sort of like an oddity on campus’ and then added, ‘He goes to class, he goes home.’

A number of organizations, including the College Republicans of America (CRA) took to social media to comment about what she said. They sometimes admitted that it was ‘unfairly framed’ but they still thought that it was inappropriate and in conflict with the ‘values and principles’ of the organization.

CRA President Will Donahue also took things a step further by publicly inviting Baron to join the organization. He did so on Twitter, stating: “Barron Trump represents the future of the conservative movement, and we would be honored to have him join the College Republicans of America.

“Strong leadership is built on resilience, courage, and the humility to rise above petty hostility – qualifies that Barron has already demonstrated.

“We invite Barron to join us in shaping the future of our party.”

The organization, which did endorse Donald Trump as president also said: “Our support for President Trump is, and has been, a pillar of our organization.”

Reports are that Barron Trump does not spend much time on campus and is not active in school life. He rarely speaks out publicly, and he just keeps to himself for the most part.
