Despite Trump’s promotion, the fragrances are not designed or sold by him or the Trump Organization. Instead, they are available online at gettrumpfragrances.com. The site describes the cologne as “your rallying cry in a bottle,” featuring Trump’s raised fist and image. The brand emphasizes themes of strength, power, and victory.
Trump explained the name: “Victory 45-47” represents winning, strength, and success. He encouraged supporters to buy a bottle for themselves and loved ones, saying, “Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!”
Sales and Pricing
The fragrances range from $199 to $249. Four out of several scents are already sold out, signaling strong demand among Trump’s base.
Public Reaction and Legal Questions
Not everyone welcomed the product. On Twitter, one user called the launch “too embarrassing for words.” On Reddit, a video of Trump promoting the fragrances sparked a question: “How is this legal?” Another commenter labeled it “disgusting” and “so very him.”
Ethics Concerns
Don Fox, former Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, previously told PBS that Trump’s promotion of private products crosses normal ethical lines. Fox noted Trump “vi*lated any sense of normalcy or decency.” However, Fox also explained that Trump is exempt from federal conflict of interest laws, which complicates the legal landscape.
