According to Kelley, Retton has been under intensive care for more than a week, facing the arduous challenge of pneumonia, which has left her unable to breathe independently. In a show of respect for her mother’s privacy, Kelley has refrained from sharing further details. However, she has made one poignant revelation: Mary Lou Retton does not have insurance.
