Tomi Lahren Slams Gavin Newsom as “Very Pathetic” Following Colbert Appearance on Fox News

Tomi Lahren isn’t holding back when it comes to California Governor Gavin Newsom. The Fox News host delivered a fiery critique this week after Newsom’s headline-making appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Lahren, speaking on The Big Weekend Show on Sept. 29, zeroed in on comments Newsom made about ICE operations in California, as well as his social media presence.

“His social media posts are even more unhinged and pathetic,” she said, pointing to remarks he made online that targeted former Trump adviser Stephen Miller and even threatened to kick musician Kid Rock out of California.

“How low can Newsom go and why won’t anyone call him out?” she asked. “Well, we will. I can promise you that one.”

The Fox News commentator didn’t stop there. “I find him to be not only pathetic but rather annoying,” she continued, dismissing what she called his new online “schtick” of tweeting in all caps in an effort to appear provocative.

“California is a total failure”

Lahren also took aim at Newsom’s leadership record, saying she could “list all the failures” during his time running California.

Her Fox colleague Jason Chaffetz expanded on the critique, arguing that Newsom spends more time building a national profile than addressing California’s problems, from wildfires to homelessness. He went on to call the state under Newsom’s watch “a total failure.”

Warning Democrats about their frontrunner

Despite her sharp criticism, Lahren admitted she wasn’t entirely surprised that Newsom continues to poll well among Democrats, but she argued it said more about the party than about his strengths as a leader.

“It actually surprises me that he’s leading the polls for the Democrats,” she noted. “But when you look at who’s also on the list, it’s Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, so maybe it’s not that surprising.”

Her co-host Johnny Joey Jones warned viewers to “beware of the guy with the slicked back hair who says the right thing and does none of them,” adding that many of Newsom’s supporters “don’t do a lot of research.”

Lahren’s final swipe

Before closing the segment, Lahren couldn’t resist one last jab: “He loves a camera. In fact, I don’t think he passes by many shiny surfaces without taking a look.”

For Lahren, Newsom’s television appearances and online antics may earn him attention, but in her eyes, they only underscore what she calls a record of failure in California.
