Tom Holland Injured During Spider-Man Stunt
Hollywood’s acrobatic superhero, Tom Holland, became a hospital patient overnight after a stunt mishap. The 29-year-old star of Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” was rushed to the hospital following an accident on set at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, on September 19, 2025.
A female stunt double was also injured and taken away by ambulance, leaving cast and crew in shock. Production, which had been racing toward a July 2026 release, halted immediately and may remain paused for weeks.
Emergency Response on Set
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed they received a call at 10:30 a.m. Friday. “An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care,” the spokesperson said.
Health Concerns and Previous Warning Signs
Tom reportedly suffered a head injury and concussion after the stunt went wrong. Earlier, he had left a charity dinner in Mayfair feeling unwell, a detail that now raises concern in hindsight.

Safety and Production Questions
Marvel and Sony have not issued statements. However, speculation is growing that the UK Health and Safety Executive may investigate the incident. The production, with a budget topping £150 million, had already relocated from Liverpool to Glasgow earlier this year after a crash during a Liverpool FC parade injured more than 100 people.
Glasgow Becomes the New York of Spider-Man
Filming in Glasgow includes streets decorated to resemble New York. Flags and props recreate the Big Apple, giving fans an immersive experience. Locals have seen Tom and the cast on location, generating excitement ahead of the movie’s release.
What’s Next for Holland and the Cast
Tom’s father, comedian Dominic Holland, confirmed his son will step away from filming temporarily. A source told Deadline this break is precautionary, and Tom is expected to return to the set within days.
Fans can look forward to Zendaya reprising her role as MJ, Jacob Batalon returning as Ned Leeds, and Sadie Sink joining the cast, reportedly as Jean Grey.
Silence Falls Over the Set
For now, cameras are down, costumes are hung, and fans are sending love to Holland as he recovers. The superhero’s fall stunned the billion-dollar franchise, but hope remains high that he will swing back into action soon.
