Things You Should Never Plug Into a Power Strip

Power strips are now a necessary component of handling the numerous electronic devices we use on a daily basis in our technologically advanced, modern world. Power strips are useful for adding more outlets, but it’s important to use them carefully to prevent any risks. The following nine objects should never be connected to a power strip:

Low-power gadgets like computers, lamps, and chargers are the target of power strips. Major appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines can overheat and cause fires if they are plugged into a power strip. To manage their power requirements, large appliances need specialized circuits.

In order to produce heat, space heaters consume a large amount of electricity. If you plug them into a power strip designed for smaller loads, you run the risk of overloading the circuit and starting a fire. To guarantee that space heaters get the power they require without sacrificing safety, it is best to plug them straight into wall outlets.

High-wattage devices, such as kitchen appliances and power tools, ought to be plugged straight into a wall outlet. Using a power strip to try to power such devices can result in overheating, voltage drops, and a higher risk of fire. Make sure you are always using your devices in accordance with their wattage requirements.
