These cute twins have never had the chance to meet their grandfather.

Nicolas Cage’s Personal Struggles

Nicolas Cage, famous for his roles in National Treasure and The Family Man, belongs to one of Hollywood’s most renowned families. Despite his fame, he’s currently trapped in a “horrible nightmare” that’s deeply affecting him.

A Hostile Environment

The actor, known for his eccentricities, is facing personal turmoil due to his son’s ex-wife. She has created a “hostile environment,” preventing him from meeting his twin granddaughters, who are now four years old.

An Early Start in Hollywood

Cage, born Nicolas Kim Coppola, had Hollywood blood from the start, being the nephew of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola. At 15, he begged his uncle for a role in one of his films. Although the silence in the car was deafening, Cage’s determination was clear. By 17, he had carved his own path, landing a role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982).

Reinventing Himself

In the early years of his career, Cage felt overshadowed by his famous surname. He decided to drop “Coppola” and adopt “Cage” after feeling stifled by the comparisons to his uncle’s work. He combined the name “Luke Cage” from Marvel Comics and “John Cage,” the avant-garde composer, to represent his identity.

Finding Freedom in Roles

His first starring role in Valley Girl (1983) marked a turning point. “I felt liberated by that experience,” he said. The anonymity allowed him to finally express himself freely, shedding the weight of his famous family name.

A Family Man

Cage has always put family first. He turned down major roles, including in Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, to stay with his son, Weston. Weston, born in 1990, is an actor and former lead of two heavy metal bands. Cage’s bond with his children and grandchildren is strong, yet his relationship with his twin granddaughters is strained.

A Bitter Legal Battle

Following a bitter divorce in 2021, Weston’s ex-wife, Hila Arounian, was granted full custody of their twin daughters, Cyress and Venice. Weston and his parents, including Cage, have been denied access to the girls. Christina, Cage’s ex-partner, expressed her devastation in an emotional statement. She called the situation “insane, painful, hurtful, and devastating.”

Hila’s Defense

Hila defends her actions, accusing Weston of cheating and being manipulative. She claims that his behavior posed a physical and emotional threat to their daughters. However, she does not directly address the issue of preventing the girls from seeing their family.

A Family’s Resilience

Despite these struggles, Cage’s family is determined to overcome the challenges they face. They remain committed to restoring harmony within their relationships, even as the situation remains unresolved.
