However, pictures of Melania stole the show as she had a very special smile, which has now been analyzed by an expert.

Donald Trump spoke to the General Assembly at the United Nations in New York on Tuesday. The speech didn’t get off to a great start, as his teleprompter decided to stop working, but it wasn’t the first malfunction of the day.

The president was joined by his wife, Melania Trump, but as they were heading up an escalator in the building, it suddenly stopped. Both Donald and Melania looked over their shoulders to ask what had happened, and afterward, the White House was unhappy.

As per Newsweek, they even called for an investigation into whether the escalator was stopped on purpose to humiliate him. Moreover, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News that there would be “accountability” if it were found to have been intentional.

Meanwhile, the UN stated that the malfunction was caused by a safety mechanism being inadvertently activated. Speaking to the diplomats in the assembly, Trump said all he got from the UN was “an escalator that on the way up stopped right in the middle,” before adding, “If the first lady wasn’t in great shape, she would’ve fallen.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, body language expert Judi James told the Publication that Melania Trump acted completely differently from her husband when it came to being annoyed about the broken escalator.

Moreover, James said the first lady produced a ‘Sphynx-like’ smile.

“As her husband roasted, toasted and scorched his audience like s’mores on a campfire, Melania sat elegantly in her seat with just a small eye-dart suggesting she was in any way associated or involved with the man on stage,” the body language expert said.

“She did bother herself to produce a subtle wry smile of agreement though as Trump raged against the broken escalator that could have ditched both himself and his FLOTUS had they not been so admirably fit.”
