Some fans are reflecting on Ozzy Osbourne’s previous appearances in light of the tragic news that he has reached the rock and roll hall of fame in the sky at the age of 76.
Millions of people attended his farewell show at Villa Park earlier this month, where he performed with Black Sabbath from a throne adorned with a big bat.
Around £140 million was raised for charity at Ozzy’s last performance, with the money raised going to Cure Parkinson’s, Acorns Children’s Hospice, and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The reality show The Osbournes, which featured Ozzy and Sharon along with their children Kelly and Jack, gave fans a close-up look at his family life.

Even though one of the couple’s children didn’t make an appearance on the show, the Osbournes are sometimes seen as the pioneers of a new generation of reality TV programs that focus on the lives of celebrities.
In reality, Ozzy Osbourne has six children: three from his first marriage to Thelma Riley and three more from his second marriage to Sharon.
Although Kelly and Jack are well-known, Aimee Osbourne, the couple’s eldest child, moved out of the family home when The Osbournes began filming because she didn’t want to be on camera.
She explained to The Independent in 2020 why she had chosen not to participate in the MTV program.
She said: “Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on Earth would I want that portrayed on television?”
“I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.”
Aimee clarified that although she would have “liked to stay at home a little longer,” the family debated it and she was outvoted four to one.
When Aimee made the decision to leave the house, her mother Sharon expressed her displeasure on The Talk in 2018.
“She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera.”
“She hated the idea – it was appalling to her. And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. It broke my heart when she moved.”
Ozzy confessed to being high for almost the whole show a few years after The Osbournes ended. He told BBC Radio 2 that he was unable to watch the broadcast again because he could tell what state he was in.
