Rapper Dank Demoss, real name Dajua Blanding, is suing Lyft after a Detroit driver allegedly canceled her ride, claiming she “couldn’t fit” in the car.

Blanding shared a viral video of the encounter, where the driver of a Mercedes-Benz sedan insisted his car was too small. Despite her assurance that she would fit, he responded, *”No, believe me, you can’t.”* He then canceled the ride, advising her to order a larger vehicle.

Calling the incident discriminatory, Blanding took legal action, citing Michigan’s law against weight discrimination. Her attorney compared it to racial or religious bias, stating, *”Under the law, it’s the same.”*

Lyft responded, condemning discrimination and affirming its commitment to inclusivity.
