The couple’s latest move signals a shift toward a lasting professional split

Harry and Meghan Blaze Separate Trails

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t slowing down. In fact, they’ve just taken a bold step toward what many are calling a “professional separation.”

Life After the UK

Since leaving the UK in 2020, the couple has built a new life in Montecito, California. Their move followed relentless pressure from the British press and rising tensions within the royal family. Now, they’re raising their two children—Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3—far from royal duties.

Despite recent headlines, like Harry losing his legal bid for taxpayer-funded security and reports that King Charles III no longer speaks to him, the Duke and Duchess appear content with their chosen path.

A Shift in Strategy

The couple hasn’t just settled—they’ve evolved. Together, they launched their charity Archewell, a Netflix docuseries, and more recently, Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, along with her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

However, they’re now turning their focus inward. In late 2024, reports revealed that Harry and Meghan plan to pursue individual professional ventures rather than working as a team.

Not a Breakup—Just a Business Split

Importantly, this “separation” isn’t personal—it’s strategic. They remain united in marriage but are carving out distinct professional paths.

Two Clear Paths

GB News’ Royal Editor, Svar Nanan-Sen, explained that the couple followed two strategies:

  • Joint efforts in 2024, including tours to Nigeria and Colombia

  • Individual brand building in the U.S., aiming to grow independently rather than as a power couple

Now, they’re solidifying this shift with separate staff structures.

Separate Teams, Same Drive

Each now has their own chief of staff—a rare move.

  • Harry will work with Miranda Barbot, a veteran political adviser from Obama’s 2012 campaign.

  • Meghan will be supported by Sarah Fosmo, former aide to Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates.

  • Meredith Kendall Maines will oversee a shared team of 11 staff across the UK and Montecito.

What’s Next?

The team will help push Meghan’s projects forward, including her As Ever brand, the next season of With Love, Meghan, and her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder.

Meanwhile, Harry is reportedly planning a new commercial venture—details are still under wraps. He’ll also continue his work with the Invictus Games Foundation.

Moving Forward

It’s clear that Harry and Meghan are expanding their horizons. By separating their business paths, they’re doubling their impact—and we’re eager to see what’s next.
