The beloved star has died, leaving the world in shock

Rob Burrow, beloved Leeds Rhinos and England rugby star, passed away on June 2, 2024, at age 41 after a battle with motor neurone disease (MND). His funeral on July 7 saw hundreds lining the streets, wearing Leeds Rhino shirts in tribute. A reception was held at Leeds Civic Hall, attended by family, friends, and local leaders.

Burrow’s wife, Lindsey, praised him for “making the world a better place.” In his final message, Burrow urged others to “dare to dream” amid adversity. His legacy includes raising nearly £20 million for MND research, embodying courage and resilience that will continue to inspire.
