Taylor Swift has made an announcement that stopped her fans in their tracks. She shared the news on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast on August 12.
It was her first appearance
The singer-songwriter made the announcement on her first appearance on the Kelces’ podcast, New Heights.
Swift has been dating Travis Kelce for almost two years now, with the singer and NFL player being seen together quite frequently.
She chose to make the announcement on his podcast
On the August 12 episode, the Grammy winner revealed that her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl is on its way to her fans.
Swift, who now officially and legally owns the rights to all her album masters, teased, “So I wanted to show you something.”
Swift showed the vinyl of her album

“This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift said as she removed a vinyl from a mint green briefcase with her initials on it.
The cover art of the album was blurred out, and her website now says that it will be revealed at a later date.
The official release date isn’t announced yet

Swift didn’t announce an official release date for the album, but her website states that the album’s products would ship before October 13.
However, it also adds the disclaimer: “THIS IS NOT THE RELEASE DATE, OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.”
This sent Swifties into a frenzy
Swift’s fanbase, who are better known as Swifties, have been sent into a frenzy after the hitmaker announced her new album.
One person excitedly wrote, “THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS BACK,” while another said, “All the Swifties just screamed all at once around the world! The Life of a Showgirl!!!”
Another person pointed out her success
One fan joked about the singer’s record-breaking success, saying, “This podcast episode will break every record in the book.”
Another mentioned her retrieving the rights to her masters, writing, “Taylor owning all her albums and TS12 in ONE YEAR, damn we are in for a feast.”
It’s been over a year since her last album
The last studio album Swift released, The Tortured Poets Department, came over a year ago, in April of 2024.
Now fans have to wait and see when her 12th studio album comes out. Although the artwork is blurred out on her website, the new era’s color scheme seems to be mint green and sparkly orange.
