They were paying their respects at the Garden Park Cemetery in Arlington, Texas, when they saw something peculiar: a trail of lush, green grass led from their son’s tomb to the surrounding soil.

They have no way of knowing the true motivation.

What they didn’t know was that their daughter had met an elderly guy named Jake Reissig by happenstance a few months ago.

Jake was in the cemetery delivering flowers to his late wife’s grave when he came across Joseph’s sobbing sister.

As he got closer, he had to ask her what was wrong…

It was his intention to take flowers to Joseph’s grave. He also daily watered the lawn.

Rachel and her husband Raymond went to visit their son’s grave and saw that it was covered in flowers. The sight cheered them up considerably. Yet they couldn’t figure out who should be thanked for the kind act.

They eventually figured out that Jake was the one maintaining the grave marker.

They were brought to tears by Jake’s act of kindness. They were so grateful to this old man that they couldn’t even express it in words.
