Stop wearing jeans after reaching this age.

The Age of Jeans: When to Let Go

There are certain activities restricted by age, such as driving a car or renting a hotel room. Surprisingly, wearing jeans could be one of them. Fashion experts suggest that you can outgrow your favorite denim as well.

The Turning Point: Age 53

Experts agree that the perfect pair of jeans may be hard to find after the age of 53. A recent survey by CollectPlus, a UK courier company, polled 2,000 shoppers about their wardrobe choices. The results reveal that many people struggle with denim past this age.

Why the Struggle?

It’s not about fashion, but practicality. By age 53, finding jeans that fit becomes much harder. The survey showed that 1 in 10 shoppers over 50 tried on up to six different pairs before finding a suitable fit.

Stress and Tears

Jeans shopping can be stressful at any age, but it peaks by 53. The study found that most people experience their highest stress levels while shopping for denim. In fact, 6% of shoppers became so frustrated, they even cried.

The Long Search

Finding the right pair of jeans can feel like a lengthy process. On average, people spend five to eight days looking for denim. Unsurprisingly, most don’t buy a new pair for at least three years.

In conclusion, while jeans may be a timeless wardrobe staple, your perfect pair might not be forever.
