Starts Crying, Blames Racism For Kamala’s Loss

Calls for a federal investigation are mounting after recent attacks on Tesla dealerships and owners, which some Republicans are calling acts of domestic terrorism. The political conflict centers around Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett, whose remarks during a virtual event with the “Tesla Takedown” movement have drawn strong reactions from GOP lawmakers.

The “Tesla Takedown” group, which describes itself as a peaceful protest campaign, is encouraging Tesla shareholders and vehicle owners to sever ties with the electric vehicle manufacturer. The movement has been vocal in its criticism of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, citing his political affiliations and involvement with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a federal agency established under the Trump administration.

Birthday Call for a Boycott

During a March call with the group, Rep. Crockett referenced her birthday and said, “All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.” She clarified that her goals were nonviolent and focused on economic pressure through divestment, emphasizing that the group seeks to “fight for democracy” through peaceful means.

Still, the comments drew backlash. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Fox News vowing to defend Tesla owners, saying, “Nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country.”

Bondi also reaffirmed her pledge to curb violence against Tesla owners and dealerships, referencing recent acts of vandalism and arson involving electric vehicles.

Criminal Charges and Political Fallout

Three individuals were recently charged with domestic terrorism following alleged attacks on Tesla properties, including dealerships and charging stations. Authorities believe the incidents were politically motivated, potentially linked to opposition to Musk’s support for President Trump and DOGE initiatives.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has since led a group of lawmakers in demanding an FBI investigation into Crockett’s statements and the broader protest movement. In an interview, Biggs said, “This is not civil discourse—this is organized intimidation aimed at American citizens for owning a car.”

He claimed that such rhetoric contributes to a broader campaign of harassment, including online “doxxing” of Tesla owners and physical attacks on property.

In a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, Republican lawmakers cited U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2331, which defines domestic terrorism as acts intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or influence government policy through violence or threats.

“These acts go beyond protest,” the letter stated. “They are part of a growing campaign to intimidate ordinary citizens who happen to own Tesla vehicles.”

Crockett: Protests Are Peaceful and Economic in Nature

Despite the growing controversy, Rep. Crockett maintains that the movement is peaceful and focused on pressuring Tesla through economic channels, not violence. Speaking on a recent podcast, she said, “We’re fighting for democracy, for our country, and for our freedoms. This is about collective action, not destruction.”

So far, no formal charges have been filed against the congresswoman, and law enforcement officials have not confirmed whether an investigation is underway.

The Biden administration and law enforcement agencies have not yet publicly commented on the case or the request from GOP lawmakers.
