TikTok Star John Crawley, AKA ‘KingBeardX,’ Passes Away at 47

With charisma and humor, John Crawley, known online as ‘KingBeardX,’ became a social media sensation. Famous for his hilarious reactions to bizarre meals, Crawley amassed over 2.5 million followers on TikTok and more than 3.5 million across TikTok and Instagram combined.

Hospitalization and Tragic D**th

Earlier this month, Crawley was admitted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after struggling to breathe. Despite medical efforts, he never recovered. TMZ reported that he passed away on Monday, August 18, following cardiac a**est.

James Steele, funeral director at Glenfield Funeral Home, confirmed the news, saying, “Knowing him personally, John was a good guy. He lit up a lot of people’s worlds. I just left his house and prayed with his mother. She’s torn up right now but she’s going to make it.”

Final Moments and Legacy

Crawley’s last post on social media came on July 22. He shared plans for a meet-and-greet in Albany, Mississippi — an event he never got to host.

His friend and podcast co-host, Anthony Caruso, revealed that Crawley’s health deteriorated rapidly after hospitalization. Doctors placed him on a ventilator and performed a tube thoracotomy when his breathing stopped.

Community Support

Caruso also launched a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses and support Crawley’s surviving family, noting that Crawley lacked health insurance. The fundraiser has a $9,000 goal.

In an update, Caruso wrote, “I’m really sorry to tell everyone the bad news, but Pimpmunkx (KingBeardX) passed away yesterday. Thank you to everyone that has supported the fundraiser so far. His mother asked me to thank you all.”

Weeks prior, Caruso had been raising funds, emphasizing the seriousness of Crawley’s condition. “John is the main breadwinner for his family, and unfortunately, he doesn’t have medical insurance,” he wrote. “His condition is quite unstable, and we’re all worried about him.”

Fans Pay Tribute

Fans have flooded Crawley’s obituary page with heartfelt messages.

One wrote, “This is incredibly sad. My condolences to his friends and family. Loved watching his videos. Always made me laugh. Rest in peace, buddy.”

Another shared, “I watched him on TikTok and he always made me laugh! May he rest in peace! Healing vibes to the family.”

Others added, “This man was so sweet on social media! He was funny and caring. My condolences go out to his family!” and “You always made my day, even on really bad days. You will be truly missed. My prayers and condolences go out to your family.”

Rest in Peace, John

John Crawley’s humor and kindness brightened countless days. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, joy, and genuine connection with fans. Rest in peace, KingBeardX.
