For this question, refer to the advice of Dr. Vu Thi Tan, also known as a scientist with many studies and inventions to protect the environment. Currently, Dr. Vu Thi Tan is a lecturer at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The doctor said: Currently, even the US and Europe have two different concepts about egg preservation. Some states in the US require farms to wash eggs before selling them. And washed eggs must be stored in the refrigerator. In large supermarkets in some states in the US, eggs are sold in the refrigerator. The HSD (expiry date) can be up to 100 days from the date of production (laying hens).

Europe is different, in the UK, France, Germany… eggs are not washed and are stored at room temperature. The shelf life of eggs is 6-8 weeks.

But should eggs be washed before being refrigerated? The female doctor advised yes, she herself tried this method of egg preservation and found the results quite good.

– Fresh chicken eggs.

– Soak in baking soda for 15 minutes.

– Wash with tap water.

– Let the eggs dry and then put them in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

After 35 days of washing the eggs and storing them in the refrigerator, the eggs still do not spoil.

So you can wash the eggs, store them in the refrigerator, and try to eat them as soon as possible, or use them within 1 month.
