On May 27, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, who is 18 years old, filed legal paperwork to adopt her mother Angelina Jolie’s last name instead of her father Brad Pitt’s.

Her first grownup action is that she wants to be known just as “Shiloh Jolie,” as of right now.

According to a recent TMZ article, Shiloh submitted the paperwork on Memorial Day, which also happened to be her birthday. Although the proposal for the name change has not yet been approved formally, it should become official shortly.

Shiloh’s choice is in line with family tradition, as her sisters Zahara and Vivienne have also allegedly left out “Pitt” on a few times.

The playbill for the musical “The Outsiders” lists her as “Vivienne Jolie,” notably without “Pitt,” according to People in May 2024. An important development in Vivienne’s changing public identity is her new name.

Vivienne assists her mother Angelina, the producer of the show, in her role as a production assistant. On the promotional tour for the musical, she frequently goes with her mother.

Zahara became a member of Spelman College’s Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in November 2023. Zahara’s new sorority sisters can be seen applauding as she takes the stage in a video that Essence posted.

“My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she declared with pride, perhaps omitting her father’s last name, and proceeded to dance and flip her hair.

Angelina and Brad are still embroiled in legal disputes, which coincide with their name change.

According to Webb, “one of the two individuals, Ross Foster, specified that he intended to testify regardless of the NDA if he received a court subpoena,” He went on to divulge unsettling information regarding the possible testimony.

“When Mr. Foster told me this, he also told me that if asked, he would testify about statements he overheard that Ms. Jolie made to the children, encouraging them to avoid spending time with Mr. Pitt during custody visits,” he said.

Social internet was rocked by this discovery, and many people expressed their shock at Angelina. Concerns over the possible effects on the Jolie-Pitt kids were expressed by others.

“The fact that she cannot see the harm this is doing to their kids is just shocking,” one person commented. This was echoed by another commenter who noted, “It’s probably why Shiloh is moving in with her father now… She’s realized her mother is vindictive and has been trying to alienate them from Brad for years.”

“The worse possible thing a person can do… alienate their children from a parent,” was how one individual described Angelina’s alleged action. In the meantime, someone else said, “Shame on her.”

As a result of the controversy surrounding Angelina’s behavior, some people considered how cyclical her behavior might be and linked it to her turbulent childhood.

“Her childhood was similar from what I read. Maybe she can’t break that perpetual cycle or doesn’t want to,” said another.

Even with the public’s negative opinion, Angelina has never stopped trying to be the kind, considerate mother that she is supposed to be.
