Sharon Osbourne Reveals Weight Struggle As Ozempic Leaves Her Looking ‘Too Thin’

After revealing that Ozempic has negatively impacted her health, Sharon Osbourne appeared almost completely different when she went out in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Following significant worry over her drastically reduced appearance, the former X Factor judge became one of the first celebrities to publicly admit to using the diabetes medication.

After beginning the medication in December 2022, Osbourne was initially happy with the results, but she subsequently acknowledged that she thought she had gone too far—even though she had disclosed last November that she had been off the drug for “a while.”

“I can’t put on weight now, and I don’t know what it’s done to my metabolism, but I just can’t seem to put any on, because I think I went too far,” she shared on Howie Mandel’s podcast.

She told The Guardian earlier in February that she had shed “three stone [42 pounds] in four months. Too much.”

The 72-year-old’s most recent appearance in Hollywood appears to support her worries, as she appears visibly weak.

The TV host was seen carrying shopping bags over a walkway flanked with trees while wearing a loose-fitting white hoodie and cream leggings.

Her distinctively small physique was still visible despite the large ensemble, but fans were able to quickly identify her enormous pouffe of red hair.

Sharon recently acknowledged to being “frustrated” by the drug’s aftereffects and told DailyMail.com that she hasn’t gained back any of the weight she lost while using it.

“Now, I weigh just over 7st. I need to put on 10lb, but however much I eat, I stay the same weight,” she said.

“I’ve had enough. I’ve given up on all interventions. I couldn’t have much more facial surgery — there’s not that much skin left to stretch, pull or cut. And I won’t have any more fillers or Botox.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever be happy with the way I look. But I’m now satisfied. It’s taken years for me to say this but I’ve learned my lesson. This is me. It’s finally time to leave well alone.”

A gastric band, full facelift, stomach tuck, eyelift, breast implants, abdominoplasty, and Botox are just a few of the treatments the TV star has had over the years after spending a large portion of her life in the spotlight.

Sharon startled the world in March 2024 when she returned to UK reality TV on Celebrity Big Brother, where she was reunited with Louis Walsh, her former co-star on X Factor.

As she disclosed that doctors ‘can’t figure out’ why she hasn’t been able to regain her weight since quitting Ozempic months ago, the celebrity couldn’t conceal her weight loss on the show.

“The doctors can’t figure it out,” she said. “But I think it’s just because I’m getting older and as you get older you lose weight anyway and shrink and shrivel off.”

“Everyone was doing it,” Sharon explained when asked why she turned to Ozempic.

When Sharon was on Celebrity Big Brother in 2024, she talked about her weight loss experience with actor Colson Smith.

The X Factor star, who has come under fire for her slimmed-down appearance after taking a medication intended to treat diabetes, talked about how hard it was for her to lose weight the old-fashioned way.

She said, “People who don’t have to worry about weight have no idea what it’s like. At one point I was 230lb. It’s a killer.”

Earlier that year, Sharon said on Loose Women that she was having trouble getting back to a healthy weight after quitting the drug.

She said, “I don’t regret it. Everything with weight with me was, “I want it now.” The injections that I was on worked, but it just seems that now I can’t put anything on really.”
