Unexpected Discoveries at Home
Noticing unexplained things in our homes is never enjoyable. Whether it’s a mark on the wall that wasn’t there before or a strange smell, our minds immediately jump to worst-case scenarios. We wonder if it’s a sign of something bigger or if it’ll end up costing us money to fix.
The Mystery of Black Dots
I can sympathize with a woman who found black dots appearing in her kitchen. Kitchens are where we prepare food, and it’s natural to want everything under control. So, finding strange marks in this area is understandably concerning.
She shared her worry in the Facebook group ‘WeLoveMrsHinch’, asking, “Does anyone know what these dots might be?” They appeared first on the kitchen tiles and later on the PC in the same room.
A Surprising Answer
Fortunately, other users quickly chimed in with their guesses. “Look around, you’ll probably find a spider,” one commenter suggested. “It happens a lot this time of year, spiders pooping everywhere,” another added.
Spider Droppings Explained
According to Pest Guidance, spider droppings aren’t solid. Instead, they are thick and liquid, resembling dark ink stains on surfaces. These droppings are usually splats or drips in black, brown, white, or gray. The color depends on the species of spider, but generally, you’ll see dark splatters.
I had no idea spiders left droppings like this. Did you? Let us know in the comments!
