‘School Of Rock’ Child Stars Get Married To Each Other 20 Years After Meeting On The Movie Set

When we look back on movies that we may have watched as children, we sometimes are amazed to realize that the child stars grew up and now have lives of their own. That is how many of us feel who remember watching the School of Rock movie as youngsters.

It’s hard to imagine that the School of Rock movie has been around for more than 20 years. It was released in 2003 and many of us still remember the first time that we saw it.

The child actors on the show have sometimes stayed in contact with each other and at other times, not. As far as Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli are concerned, however, being on the show was one of the best things that ever happened to them.

Hale and Massagli were both in key positions within the School of Rock comedy, which starred Jack Black as a substitute teacher in a school that transformed a class into a rock band.

Hale played the backup singer, Marta, and Massagli played the ‘tough guy’ security guard, Frankie. Little did they know that meeting that many years ago on the set of a movie would lead to a real-life situation.

When Massagli first met her on the set during auditions, he said: “I was like, ‘Wow, that girl’s really, really, really something else.’” It turned out that that would be the end of their acting career for the most part.

Hale is now an ultrasound technologist for an OB/GYN and Massagli is a lawyer for TikTok. That seems like a far cry from each other, but they did stay connected with each other and the other classmates from the movie in a group chat.

In 2018, they were both studying in Florida, and Hale and Massagli were able to reconnect. It started with a casual lunch but before long, it turned into something more.

Massagli said: “We thought that was kind of it. But we just kept grabbing dinners and going out for the weekends. We were like, ‘something’s brewing here.’”

Hale added that she confided in a friend early in their relationship, saying: “I think I’m gonna marry this guy.”

Long story short, they were engaged in 2003 and ended up having a fantastic wedding.

Both of them are now 33 and they got married on January 4 in a ceremony with a number of other costars attending. Nine of the former School of Rock classmates were in attendance, along with some of the actor’s parents and siblings.

I guess you never know where love is going to take you.
