The talk show host’s daughter has faced legal trouble over the years, along with personal battles involving her mother. Their strained relationship led Chelsea O’Donnell to change her last name, while her mother removed her from her will.

The image captures a tender moment during a video call, showing Chelsea snuggled close to her young son, as they smile at the screen. In the corner, Rosie appears, completing the sweet family exchange during their FaceTime chat.

“chelsea atlas and me #welldone,” the mother of four wrote in the caption — prompting a wave of mixed reactions from her followers. The post, which showed a rare moment of togetherness, quickly caught the attention of Rosie’s followers and sparked a flurry of responses.

One fan penned, “Yippee- hope Chelsea is doing okay🙌.” “All her children are stunning! 🤩” commented another person. A third wrote“I’m so happy for y’all! Beautiful family! So glad Chelsea is doing so well!” Someone else chimed in“Family support! Chelsea looking great!” One follower summed it up simply, “nothing better than seeing your kids happy and healthy [sic].”

The kind words from fans came just months after a difficult chapter in Chelsea’s life made headlines. Per reports, court records from Wisconsin showed that the 27-year-old was sentenced to six years of probation after being arrested three times in the fall.

She admitted to three charges: having methamphetamine, breaking the rules of her bail, and resisting or blocking a police officer. Each charge carried a two-year probation term. Two other accusations — one for drug possession and another for having drug-related items — were dropped by the court.

Following the court decision, Rosie O’Donnell shared an update on her daughter’s recovery. In a statement her mother shared:

“Chelsea is currently in a drug rehabilitation program and doing quite well. I am very proud of her progress — we (her family) support and love her very much and are grateful for the opportunity she has to improve her health and find a way to live a life of sobriety.”

After sharing her support, Rosie also took a major step regarding her estate. During Chelsea’s legal troubles, the comedian removed her from her $80 million fortune.

In response, Chelsea, who is adopted, filed paperwork to take back the last name of her birth mother, Deanna Micoley, choosing to go by Neuens. Rosie reportedly made this decision shortly before moving to Ireland in January 2025.

Not long after that, Rosie shared her reasons for starting fresh overseas. She explained that concerns for her safety and that of her 12-year-old child, Clay, who has autism, played a big part in her choice, adding:

“I’ve never had one moment where I have regretted moving here.”

The actress gave fans a small glimpse into her new life overseas through social media. When someone asked what it was like living in Ireland on Instagram, she replied, “@lscoggs – a godsend truly – people r lovely full of empathy and compassion – welcoming and funny – i feel it helped me in every way possible [sic].”

Rosie also shared how much she enjoyed the sunny weather in Dublin, though locals warned her not to expect it often. Along with sharing her thoughts, the star also mentioned another way fans could stay connected with her. She wrote, “check me out on #substax if u like – gonna go live there soon #rosieodonnell,” hinting at her plans to go live on the platform in the near future.

Rosie O’Donnell’s recent moment with Chelsea and Atlas gave a glimpse into a family still finding its way. Through past struggles and public fallout, the love between mother and daughter remains. Life in Ireland has brought Rosie a fresh start, offering calm and comfort. With each post, she shows that even in hard times, family bonds can still grow.
