Rick Harrison shares his feelings about the tragic passing of his son.

Rick Harrison Speaks After Son’s Tragic Death

Rick Harrison, the face of the popular show Pawn Stars, recently shared his thoughts on the sudden death of his 39-year-old son, Adam. Reports confirm that Adam passed away due to a suspected drug overdose, with fentanyl as the cause.

Grief and Urgency

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Rick expressed his grief and concern about the fentanyl crisis in the U.S. He stated, “Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose. The fentanyl crisis must be taken more seriously. It flows over the borders, and nothing is being done. We must do better.”

Investigation Underway

Initially, TMZ reported the tragic news of Adam’s death, but details about the overdose remain unclear. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has begun an investigation to gather more information.

Family Statement

A spokesperson for the Harrison family, Laura Herlovich, released a statement on behalf of Adam’s loved ones. She said, “Our family is extremely saddened by Adam’s death. We ask for privacy as we grieve.”

Family Background

Adam was Rick Harrison’s second child from his first marriage to Kim Harrison, making him the younger brother of Corey Harrison. Rick also has a son named Jake with his second wife, Tracy.

Although Adam did not appear on Pawn Stars, he worked at Gold & Silver Pawn, the family business, before the show began in 2009. He had not been actively involved with the pawn shop in recent years.

Heartfelt Tribute

Rick honored Adam with a heartfelt tribute on social media. He posted a photo of them smiling at a bar on Instagram, captioning it, “You will always be in my heart! I love you, Adam. 💔”

Rising Concern

The increase in overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids, particularly fentanyl, is alarming. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, these deaths surged by 56.6% from January 2020 to 2021. The Drug Enforcement Administration classifies fentanyl as a Schedule II controlled substance, making it extremely potent. Just two milligrams—less than a grain of salt—can be lethal.

Condolences

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Rick Harrison and his family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this tragic loss.
