Reports Claim NY AG Letitia James About to Be Indicted Along with James Comey [WATCH]

Multiple reports surfaced this week claiming that New York Attorney General Letitia James is expected to be indicted for mortgage fraud in the coming days.

The reports, which circulated widely on X, also suggested that former FBI Director James Comey may face indictment from the same office.

On Monday, the outlet published what it described as a mock prosecution memorandum outlining potential federal and state charges tied to the investigation.

Special Prosecutor Ed Martin has been overseeing the case against James since August.

In addition, attorney Lindsey Halligan was appointed as prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia, where the indictments are reportedly expected to be filed.

MSNBC also addressed the reports, citing posts by conservative commentator Bennie Johnson on X.

During the network’s coverage, correspondent Ken Dilanian stated that indictments against James are anticipated.

“The same office is expected to charge Letitia James with mortgage fraud. Trump, exhorting his attorney general to charge those people as soon as possible,” Dilanian said.

Dilanian also reported that former FBI Director James Comey is expected to be indicted by the Eastern District of Virginia in connection with a separate investigation.

No further details were provided on the potential charges against Comey.

The Eastern District of Virginia has also not released a formal statement confirming the indictments.

James, who has served as New York’s attorney general since 2019, has been a central figure in several high-profile legal battles involving state and federal officials.

The reported indictment would mark a significant development in ongoing investigations into her conduct during her career.

The reports come amid heightened scrutiny of political figures facing allegations of misconduct.

Federal investigators have not disclosed the full scope of the case, but sources suggest the charges against James could involve longstanding mortgage filings dating back more than 40 years.

If indictments are formally announced, the proceedings would take place in federal court in Virginia. Until then, investigators are expected to continue reviewing evidence tied to the case.

The anticipated indictments of both James and Comey mark a major turn in ongoing investigations that have drawn national attention.

Federal authorities have yet to release an official timeline or confirmation, leaving both cases under close watch as further details emerge.
