We sometimes hear people talking about families and how much they may look alike. We use expressions such as someone being a chip off the old block or perhaps we may hear the word doppelgänger thrown around at times.

This was seen in an interesting way when a picture was shared recently of Reese Witherspoon. The actress was enjoying some time with her daughter, Ava Phillippe and people just can’t get over what they were seeing.

Despite the fact that there is a considerable age gap between 47-year-old Reese Witherspoon and her 24-year-old daughter, Ava, it was not really showing in the picture. Yet, Reese was smiling at the camera and both of them were holding a drink.

As these two family members sat next to each other, the picture showed just how similar they looked. Like mother, like daughter, and many people are even having difficulty choosing which one was which.

This was one of those interesting moments and since it was shared to more than 30 million Instagram followers of Weatherspoon, it wasn’t long before it went viral.

People are saying that they were difficult to tell apart and they continued to call them twins. Others were astounded, saying that her daughter was her clone.

Even though they may not be twins in the traditional sense, it’s easy to see that the genetics run strong in this family.
