‘Proud Dad’ John Travolta Shares Photo of Daughter Ella, 21, on Set of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ Remake

John Travolta shared a photo of his 21-year-old daughter, Ella, on the set of her forthcoming film, Get Lost, highlighting the strong resemblance between them.

On Thursday, July 29, the 67-year-old actor captioned his Instagram post, “Here’s my daughter Ella starring in a live-action reimagining of Alice in Wonderland! It’s called Get Lost. I’m a very proud dad!”

In March, it was announced that Ella, the daughter of the New Jersey native and his late wife Kelly Preston, would take on a role in the Disney live-action adaptation of the beloved 1951 classic.

On Wednesday, July 28, Ella shared a video on Instagram showcasing her in a blue costume, expressing her excitement: “I am so honored and happy to begin this adventure on such a wonderful project with such an amazing cast and crew. Stay tuned.”

This social media post followed their collaboration on a Super Bowl commercial for Scotts Miracle-Gro, which also featured Martha Stewart and Leslie David Baker, five months earlier.

Reflecting on that experience, Travolta told Esquire Mexico in April, “It was magical; there’s no one else in the world I’d rather dance with than my daughter, Ella. It worked on so many levels! First, as a unique moment of entertainment that people loved seeing. Secondly, it allowed me to introduce my daughter to the world on a huge stage, showcasing her talent and beauty.”

The father and daughter frequently dance together, he added. “I’m really thankful that the brand asked us to do it together.”

John Travolta and Kelly Preston welcomed Ella in 2000, followed by their son Benjamin, who is now 10, in 2010. Their eldest son, Jett, tragically passed away in 2009 at the age of 16.
Following the actress’s passing in July 2020 after her battle with breast cancer, Ella paid tribute to her mother through a heartfelt post on Instagram.

“I have never encountered anyone as brave, resilient, beautiful, and loving as you,” she expressed on Instagram at that time. “Anyone fortunate enough to have known you or to have been in your presence would agree that you possess a radiance and a light that consistently shines, bringing immediate joy to those around you.”

Ella concluded her message with, “Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for your love, your support, and for making this world a better place. You have made life incredibly beautiful, and I am certain you will continue to do so forever. I love you dearly, Mama.”
