Prince William knew Meghan had ‘no intention’ of staying royal, claims expert

Prince William has a non-existent relationship with his brother, Harry. The two have reportedly not spoken for years, and it is claimed that the future king and his brother’s wife, Meghan Markle, ‘s relationship is down the drain, too. Prince William has reportedly been questioning his brother’s choice already when Harry and Meghan began dating. And now, a new shocking claim states that William knew that his brother’s wife already had a plan to leave the Royal Family as she tied the knot.

As Prince Harry began dating Meghan Markle, some members within the Royal Family didn’t know if it was a good idea. While the so-called “Pro-Sussex” biography Finding Freedom, by authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, wrote that William and Meghan got “along so well” after their first meeting, Meghan would no doubt want to know everything about her and her intentions.”

“She was self-aware enough to understand that the brothers were wary of women who were more interested in their titles than their wellbeing,” Scobie and Durand wrote. “And she couldn’t have come from a more different world than that of William, his wife, and most of their friends.”

A friend of Meghan’s told the authors that she prepared herself for a grilling session with William. But their first meeting turned out great.

According to the authors, William told Meghan, “I was looking forward to meeting the girl who has put that silly grin on my brother’s face.”

Even though William initially appeared to like Meghan, he was also concerned. Harry and Meghan’s relationship moved exceptionally quickly after a friend set them up on a blind date—and according to Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie, the future king had troubles with it.

Prince William told Harry to ‘not rush relationship’ with Meghan

About a year before their wedding—and about a year after they began dating—Prince William wanted to talk with his older brother about Meghan.

William was said to have told his brother, “Don’t feel you need to rush this,” and “Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.”

Scobie and Durand continued by saying that Harry was “pissed off” that William even asked him to take it slow, while the phrase “the girl” bothered him. Later, Omid Scobie, who’s been closely connected to the Sussexes for years, said William “just wanted to make sure that Harry wasn’t blindsided by lust.”

William was also reported to have voiced concerns about how quickly his brother’s relationship developed, though this was done privately to his aides.

“William soon began to wonder about some of Meghan’s traits and motivations,” a source told the Daily Mail, as revealed by the Express. “He was worried that at times she seemed to be more concerned about her personal progression or profile over the wider goals and aims of the Royal Family.”

However, William decided to keep those feelings to himself. Why? Because he “desperately wanted her to be happy and appreciated the huge adjustment of entering the Royal Family,” according to the source.

Today, it’s an entirely different story. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left royal life years ago, and Prince William appears not to have anything over for his brother or sister-in-law. But just as the “pro-Sussex” authors wrote in their book, now, another royal expert sensationally claims that Prince William knew Meghan Markle had other intentions than marry the person she loved.

Royal expert claims Prince William ‘knew’ Meghan’s intentions

Royal biographer and commentator Phil Dampier told The Sun that William saw right through Meghan’s alleged “plan” of marrying into the Royal Family. This comes after Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin and closest confidante, Lady Elizabeth Anson, reportedly told royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith that the monarch was concerned about Meghan marrying Harry.

“I think, unfortunately, that confirms what I’ve been saying or thought for the last few years that, sadly, Meghan never really had any intention of staying in the royal family,” Dampier told the Sun, in reference to Anson’s claim. “She saw as a stepping stone getting married to Harry to new fame and fortune. And I think that’s what initially Prince William was concerned about.”

“That’s why they fell out. And now we are where we are. But to have this confirmed by somebody so close to the queen is really dynamite,” he added, claiming that the information he received had come “right from the horse’s mouth,” and was “very, very telling.”
