Prince Louis’ latest birthday photo has left royal watchers all saying the same thing

Prince Louis Turns 7!

A Portrait That Says It All

The photo shows Prince Louis sitting on a tree stump in a woodland setting, grinning from ear to ear. Photographer Josh Shinner captured the joyful moment.
Instantly, royal fans flooded social media with reactions. Many pointed out how grown up Louis suddenly looks.

“Prince Louis growing up. In long trousers (jeans even) and awaiting new front teeth. Terrific photo,” one fan wrote.
Another commented, “He’s suddenly all grown up. Happy birthday to Prince Louis!”
And one more said, “Wow, so grown up all of a sudden! Happy Birthday Louis.”
“Wow! 7 y/o already!? Time flies,” added another.

A Look Back at Louis’ Birth

Prince Louis was born at 11:01 AM on April 23, 2018, at St Mary’s Hospital in London. His birth certificate, however, includes a few unique features.

How His Birth Certificate Differs

Louis’ full title appears as:
“His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge”—similar to his siblings:

  • Prince George: “His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge”

  • Princess Charlotte: “Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge”

These titles may now end with “of Wales” since Prince William inherited the Prince of Wales title after King Charles III ascended the throne in 2022.

On all three certificates:

  • Mother: “Her Royal Highness Catherine Elizabeth, The Duchess of Cambridge”

  • Father: “His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis, Duke of Cambridge”

A Modern Touch

One noticeable difference? The registrar signed George and Charlotte’s certificates by hand. In contrast, Louis’ certificate was typed and digitally signed.
According to Town & Country, this change might reflect a registrar’s personal preference—or updated office protocols.
