Popular TV And Movie Actor Has Passed Away At 67

Erich Anderson, the actor who was known for TV shows ‘Felicity’ and ‘Thirtysomething’ has passed away over the weekend. He had cancer and was 67 years old.

The actor’s wife and actress Saxon Trainer confirmed her husband’s death on Instagram on June 1. She opened the post by noting that she was sharing her brother-in-law Michael O’Malley’s words because she was in mourning.

“My brother in law Erich Anderson passed this morning after a brutal struggle with cancer. He had a long successful career as an actor— he was on that old show 30 something; he was Felicity’s father on “Felicity;” he was killed in a basement in a Friday the 13th movie: he was on Star Trek and dozens of other shows. He was a smart and funny guy, a fantastic cook; he wrote three great novels which you can find on Amazon. I’ll miss him but his ordeal is over.”

Anderson started his acting career in the 1980s. His first major role was in ‘Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.’ He also starred in many TV shows and films such as ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, ‘The X-Files’ and ‘ER’.

He had roles in the series ‘Second Chances’ as Bruce Christianson, ‘Thirtysomething’ as Billy Sidel and ‘Felicity’ as the star’s father.

Anderson published his first novel, Hallowed Be Thy Name, in 2012. His following books Thy Kingdom Come and Rabbit: A Golf Fable followed in 2014 and and then 2022.

Rest in peace.
