Popular ‘Star Trek’ Actress Passed Away At 70

Jill Jacobson, an actress known for her roles on Star Trek: The Next GenerationStar Trek: Deep Space NineFalcon Crest, and The New Gidget, has passed away at the age of 70. The actress died on December 8 at Cedars-Sinai’s Culver West Health Center after a long illness, according to her friend, Dan Harary, who shared the news with The Hollywood Reporter.

Jacobson was an American actress known for her extensive work in television, film, and theater. She was born on May 8, 1955, in the United States. Jacobson began her acting career in the 1970s, gaining recognition for her appearances in a variety of TV series and films.

She is perhaps best known for her recurring role as the scheming character Connie in the primetime soap opera “Falcon Crest” in the 1980s. Her portrayal of Connie Giannini showcased her ability to play nuanced, dynamic characters. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, she made guest appearances on popular TV shows such as “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Dallas,” and “Knots Landing.”

Jacobson also appeared in a number of feature films, including “Futureworld” (1976), a sci-fi thriller and sequel to the hit “Westworld.” She also took roles in horror films like “Nightmare” (1981) and “Breeders” (1986), demonstrating her versatility across genres.

Her stage experience was equally impressive, with performances in regional theater and Off-Broadway productions.
