Actress Pamela Anderson co-stared in the movie “The Naked Gun” over the summer with actor Liam Neeson, but the movie wasn’t the only thing that made headlines. Their off screen relationship did too.
Are the rumors true? Was there really an intimate connection between the two actors?
Anderson recently opened up to PEOPLE after her relationship with Neeson, and it turns out that yes, they were dating. She explained, “If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming.”
By dating, she doesn’t just mean going out on a few dates. It was more intimate than that. In fact, she shared that they spent an “intimate week” together in upstate New York at Neeson’s home.
But while she describes it as “intimate,” it’s not as intimate as it might sound at first. She explained, “I had my own room.”
And, it’s not like they were there alone. She added, “Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.”
Yet, the week does sound pretty romantic. Anderson shared that they “went to dinner at a tiny French restaurant where he introduced me as the ‘future Mrs. Neeson.’”
She also did some gardening on Neeson’s property. She shared, “I tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint … I was happy to help, and he appreciated.”
Neeson even proved himself to be a hero. Anderson shared that he chased a bear away from the window while wearing his bathrobe.
Anderson also refers to their “intimate week” as a “romantic lost week.” And after that week, they mutually parted ways. She explained that they “went our separate ways to work on other films.”
They crossed paths again while promoting “The Naked Gun” together over the summer. She explains, “We were having fun.”
She shared that their romance was very much real and not a publicity stunt. She said, “I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.’ ”
Is she really the “future Mrs. Neeson”? The answer is no. Anderson shared, “I adore Liam, but we are better friends, in full honesty.”
