P3. Mom wants to show 13-month-old daughter with rare birthmark that she is beautiful

Nicole Lucas Hallson is raising her children, Asher and Winry, with the belief that imperfections are what make us perfect. Winry was born with a rare birthmark called congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN), which covers part of her face.

Although initially concerned, Nicole learned that the birthmark was not harmful. She takes precautions to protect Winry’s skin, as CMN can increase the risk of melanoma. Despite this, Winry is a joyful, energetic child, and her parents embrace her uniqueness, encouraging others to celebrate differences.
