Operator of Philadelphia plane crash gave chilling statement after disaster as all onboard feared dead

A tragic plane crash near Philadelphia on January 31 has left devastation in its wake, with a fiery explosion caught on camera just moments after takeoff.

The Learjet 55, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, had departed from Philadelphia en route to Missouri before its final destination in Tijuana, Mexico. Onboard were six people: a young child from Mexico receiving urgent medical treatment, her mother, and four crew members.

Eyewitnesses and footage from dashcams and doorbell cameras captured the horrifying moment when the jet plummeted towards the ground just 30 seconds after takeoff. The impact caused a massive explosion, setting nearby buildings and vehicles ablaze.

Authorities responded swiftly, with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro acknowledging the gravity of the disaster. “We know that there will be loss,” he said, describing the crash as an “awful aviation disaster.”

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker confirmed that emergency teams had secured the scene and were conducting a thorough investigation.

The operator of the flight, Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, based in Mexico, issued a brief but somber statement: “We cannot confirm any survivors.” A spokesperson further emphasized the airline’s commitment to maintenance and safety, saying, “All of the aircraft are maintained, not a penny is spared because we know our mission is so critical.”

Officials reported that multiple people on the ground were affected by the crash, with at least six individuals taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Three have been treated and released, while the condition of the remaining three at Temple University Hospital-Jeanes remains unclear.

This tragedy follows closely on the heels of another devastating air disaster earlier in the week. In Washington, D.C., a passenger plane carrying 64 people collided midair with an Army helicopter carrying three, making it one of the deadliest aviation incidents in recent U.S. history.

Reacting to the Philadelphia crash, former U.S. President Donald Trump called the event “so sad,” adding, “More innocent souls lost. Our people are totally engaged.”

With authorities still working to determine the cause of the crash and confirm any survivors, the city remains in shock as it grapples with the loss and destruction left behind.
