One question dominates as JD Vance’s past Epstein tweets come back to light

JD Vance Faces Scrutiny Over Old Epstein Tweets as DOJ Confirms No Client List

Past Comments Resurface

Vice President JD Vance is facing renewed attention after past tweets about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged “client list” resurfaced. These comments came back into focus after the Department of Justice and FBI, under Donald Trump’s administration, confirmed that no such list exists.

Trump Administration Releases Files

Earlier this week, the DOJ released a memo stating that investigators found no incriminating client list tied to Epstein. This follows Trump’s 2024 campaign promise to declassify files related to Epstein, who died by suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

In February, the DOJ published a series of documents online. However, rumors about a hidden list of wealthy clients persisted.

Vance’s Past Statements

During the Biden administration, Vance had publicly suggested the government was hiding something. In one tweet, he wrote:
“What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein’s clients secret? Oh…”

In another post from September 2021, he remarked:
“Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don’t talk about it.”

These posts fueled speculation that Vance believed the Democrat-led government had something to hide.

A Change in Tone

Despite his earlier suspicion, Vance now appears to accept the Trump administration’s findings. Speaking with podcaster Theo Von, he defended the president and dismissed critics:

“Donald Trump didn’t do anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein. Whatever the Democrats and the media say about him, that’s totally BS. I’m the Vice President to President Trump. My loyalties are always going to be with the president.”

Trump Signals It’s Time to Move On

Despite ongoing curiosity about Epstein’s connections, Trump made it clear the administration is no longer focused on the case. At a July 8 cabinet meeting, when Epstein’s name came up, Trump replied bluntly:

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?”
