On our wedding day, my husband shoved me into a cold fountain and laughed loudly—I couldn’t handle it and responded like this…

The Wedding Day I Had Dreamed Of

I had planned every detail of my wedding meticulously. From the snow-white dress to the delicate bouquet, everything was perfect. The restaurant hall filled with applause as my husband and I exchanged rings. It was the moment I had imagined since childhood — my fairy tale coming true.

A Beautiful Setting… and Then the Unexpected

In the courtyard stood a small fountain. Its clear, cold water trickled quietly, adding charm to the summer evening. I even hoped it would make a stunning backdrop for photos.

When it came time to cut the cake, our guests gathered eagerly. Phones were raised, and cheers of “Kiss!” filled the air. My husband placed his hand over mine as we sliced the cake together.

The Shocking Moment

Suddenly, he scooped me up in his arms. I smiled, thinking he planned a romantic gesture. But seconds later, he carried me straight into the fountain.

Before I could react, icy water drenched me. My dress clung to my skin, my shoes filled with water, and my makeup ran down my face. The shock was immediate.

The Crowd’s Reaction and My Hurt

Guests froze—some chuckled nervously, others stared in disbelief. My husband laughed loudly, carefree, as if this was the funniest thing he had done.

I felt humiliated. Months of preparation seemed wasted. My expensive dress ruined. I stood there, shivering, tears blending with the water dripping down my face.

My Unexpected Response

I climbed out, trembling. He joked with friends, asking, “Wasn’t that awesome?”

But I wasn’t laughing.

I walked slowly toward him, locking eyes with his cheerful grin.

“Oh, you find this funny?” I asked.

Then, without hesitation, I threw the rest of the wedding cake at him. The guests gasped.

He fell silent.

The Final Words

“Now that you’re humiliated like me — we’re even,” I said.

“Thank you for showing your true face on our wedding day. Now I don’t have to spend my life wondering who you really are.”

The divorce will be tomorrow.
