Old Veteran goes viral for special birthday wish to President Trump ahead of his 104th birthday

A Milestone Birthday with a Special Wish

Denver Moore, a World War II veteran from Canal Fulton, Ohio, is about to celebrate a major milestone—his 104th birthday on May 15. But this isn’t just any birthday. Moore has one special request: he wants former President Donald Trump to attend.

“He’s My Favorite President”

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Moore didn’t hold back. “So far, he’s my favorite president. And Biden was my worst,” he said.

To get Trump’s attention, Moore recorded a heartfelt TikTok video on March 23. In it, he said:
“President Trump… I’m gonna be 104 in May, and I’m inviting you to my birthday party in Canal Fulton. I got to vote for you again, and I hope I can vote for you some more.”

A Viral Moment

The video quickly went viral, drawing over 700,000 views in just ten days. Since then, Moore has received birthday cards and warm messages from across the U.S.—and even from Africa.

A Life Rooted in Service

Moore was born on a farm in Noble County, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II for over three years. After the war, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years.

He married Thelma Lee, and the couple spent 75 years together before she passed away in 2022 at age 95. They raised three children and built a life based on family, hard work, and devotion.

Staying Sharp at 103

Moore now lives at Danbury Senior Living in Massillon, just south of Cleveland. He’s still sharp and active. In fact, he can recite the alphabet backward—a skill he learned more than 80 years ago.

The Secret to a Long Life

When asked how he made it this far, Moore gave a simple answer: stay active.
“I was always doing something,” he said. “I carried mail for 20 years, walking. I grew up on a farm. We did everything. And if we didn’t have anything to do, we made something up.”

He also offered one bit of relationship advice with a grin: “Marry the right woman and live with her all of her life.”

A Nation Takes Notice

Moore’s video sparked a national response. Kelli Beckler, executive director at Danbury, said, “People from all over the country have been sending him birthday cards and cheering him on.”

Whether President Trump will accept the invitation remains to be seen. But one thing is certain—Denver Moore’s spirit and story have turned his 104th birthday into a nationwide celebration.
